We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Executive to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of several subsidiary companies in Japan, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with business goals. In addition, this role will involve active participation in business planning and financial planning and analysis (FPamp;A)


Key Responsibilities:

Subsidiary Financial Management:

  • Manage and supervise the financial activities of subsidiary companies in Japan
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for each subsidiary, adhering to relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with subsidiary finance teams to streamline processes and maintain consistency in financial practices.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FPamp;A):

  • Support the development and execution of comprehensive financial planning strategies.
  • Provide insightful analysis of financial performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decision-making.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.

Business Planning:

  • Support the development of business plans and financial forecasts for the Group.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend financial strategies to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies across all subsidiary companies.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and FPamp;A roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and business planning.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in financial software (Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in Japanese language is a must.
  • Understanding of Japan accounting standards and tax is a bonus
