This role is a blend of a business development and product management. Your mission is to build and manage a portfolio of services end to end within the digital services focus areas.
Your Responsibilities: (What is this role all about? What does the applicant have to do?)
Business owner of digital services vertical enabling to meet the needs of consumers, responsible for the end-to-end vision and strategy of the vertical growth and the business that it empowers. This role requires someone with a clear vision on business needs & market demands and could translate the vision on a product roadmap for development as it evolves. Able to work in a team (cross functional) within an agile environment.
Build high-level business cases to justify new partnerships / opportunities. Unlike traditional telco products, this role requires the ability to assess the market potential / size and make strong hypothesis on how it will benefit Digi. Presenting and selling new business concepts / ideas to internal stakeholders and senior management and able to work closely with business line leaders to implement and grow initiatives based on Digi’s strategic roadmap.
Conduct discussions and negotiations with local and / or global partners to create business opportunities / concepts. This would also include working with existing partners to scale up collaboration, and jointly work together to identify and capitalize on future opportunities. These opportunities should provide significant business value to Digi in the form of direct / indirect revenues and / or customer retention benefits.
Building and maintaining a funnel of ideas and partners to be explored over a period. Focus areas include (but not limited to): entertainment, learning, productivity, business solutions, payments, lifestyle services. Constant lookout on competition landscape to ensure Digi is at the forefront in driving the right partnerships coupled with good customer experience.
Marketing savvy, able to oversee execution of GTM strategy across multiple channels. Thorough understanding on tracking and goal funnels with the aim to improve conversion rates.
High collaboration efforts required ensuring products / services are sold and supported across all Digi owned channels. Highly resourceful and able to look out for opportunities to push products out to external channels. For example, bringing products to showcase in regional activities and partner’s events.
Takes full accountability on business performance, able to forecast and set clear targets with proven track record in driving business revenues, users, active usage, and retention. Provide progress report on business performance periodically and able to give recommendation for improvements.
Customer obsessed, with a clear thinking of tomorrow’s needs. Deliver customer value and taking ownership of product or service offering by leading end-to-end planning and monitoring of delivery and post-delivery performance.
Your Merits: (these are must haves in terms of qualifications & experience & specific technical /professional skills that you want from the applicant)
At least 5 years of working experience in business development / product development for Internet-related / digital services.
Strong appreciation for anything digital
Demonstrated leadership and impact in terms of bringing new products/services to market
Exposure to business strategy in a high growth, startup environment an added advantage
Passion or Experience in product management of gaming / esports will be an added advantage
