You are a specialist in Category & Vendor Management and you will drive Sourcing Strategy based on business and technology requirements, conduct analysis and sourcing processes, provide recommendation and presentation to key stakeholder and committee for Digi (Malaysia).
Your Responsibilities:
To manage category from a sourcing perspective including strategic & opportunity assessment, determine sourcing strategy, execute sourcing strategy, tactical execution, supplier relationship management, performance management and be accountable for the delivery of agreed savings and value add targets.
To take lead and/or support category management activities in Telenor and/or Digi, both globally and locally. These include market analysis, vendor analysis and the entire competitive sourcing process including short listing of vendors, negotiation through to closure of contract.
To take lead in vendor negotiation in both sourcing process and any cost saving initiatives. Able to plan and execute negotiation strategy; knowing priorities and alternatives.
Early stakeholder engagement and take lead in stakeholder management from sourcing perspective, including alignment of sourcing strategies for stakeholders buy-in and implementation.
Moderating requestor’s demand between strict timeline against Telenor Procurement Company (TPC) plan and deliverables together with stakeholder and TPC.
To take lead and/or support Digi Vendor Management initiatives both globally and locally.
To take lead in managing post contract management
To report on savings of existing contracts and on business-case level of new contracts, and on sourcing project deliverables.
To work with stakeholder and Finance on opportunity assessment including budget management against sourcing activities with a view of optimize value received for spend.
To support TPC as Global Sourcing functions – Global Category Management as well as Purchasing Hub, etc.
To ensure compliance to internal control standards for all sourcing activities.
To be able to have a good legal understanding of contract agreement not limited to commercial terms and conditions, and is able to negotiate and review contract with vendors with an end goal in mind.
Your Merits:
Respective degrees relating to Business Studies, Engineering or IT with minimum 7 years working experience as Strategic Sourcing or Procurement, Technology or Project Manager, preferably in the Telco industry.
Strong strategic procurement experience with Network knowledge.
Strong influencing skill with business mindset
Good understanding of contracts and is able to negotiate for the interest of Digi
Strong ability to work with all levels of management, including executive level, and cross functional teams.
Ability to work well cross-culture, and leading a team of diverse cultural background and differing work experiences.
Excellent communication (written and oral in English) and good interpersonal skill.
Integrity, team player, pleasant personality and with a positive can-do working attitude.
Certification in CIPS is an added advantage.
