ABOUT THE POSITION

Work with WorldFish research team to conduct a review of policies and programs on women’s self-help groups in India and substantively contribute to writing the findings/outcome of the study. The consultant’s role includes ensuring that an agreed review methodology is developed and adhered to.

Scope of work

  • Co-development of the review methodology
  • Conducting the review and documenting the findings
  • Zero draft paper ready for submission to WorldFish. The submission includes table of sources in an agreed database and references in a software.

Apart from the scope of work stated above, the consultant will need to provide bi-weekly/weekly reporting via emails or any other telecommunications application. The consultant will also provide inputs to the revision of the paper as needed till the publication of the review.

This job consultancy contract might be for you if you have:

Essential Qualifications and Competencies
  • Ph.D. or Masters in Gender or in Development Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Economics or a related social science field with a significant focus on women and/or gender.
  • Breadth of knowledge of and experience in operationalizing social science research.
  • Knowledge of and experience in conducting reviews on policies and programs (especially on women self-help groups)
  • Published articles in peer-reviewed journals and/or books.

Availability of Experts

The selected expert must be able to start as soon as possible and be available throughout the duration of the assignment for an overall 3 months. In some cases the assignment can be shortened or extended depending on business needs.
