As Country HR Lead, you will work as core member for local business management and country task force, ensures & assures meeting of cross business fiduciary people requirement, local compliance and ABB processes and policies. In addition, this position will provide on-location HR support in the assigned geographic area to employees including managers to ensure effective and sustainable workplace relations and performance in close collaboration with HR network; Apply HR policies defined by Group Centers of Expertise (CoE), including on Labor Relations as defined in each country. Implement people strategy through the development of the Human Resources (HR) function, processes, systems and measures in the defined area.

Your responsibilities

You will fulfil fiduciary people duties on behalf of the local legal entity and the respective Businesses/Business Lines. As such ensures, that people practices / policies are in line with e.g. local labour law / collective bargaining agreements.

You will ensure strong labour and key stakeholder relationships internally and externally representing ABB locally, or organizing representation by another local HR leader/expert (focusing on external representation, including for e.g. representation in employer associations, universities) and actively managing partnerships and external stakeholders within the sphere of HR, whenever of significant importance for several local businesses and not owned by GBS HR.

Actively supporting the introduction and maintenance of all applicable people requirements of the ABB-OS as well as corporate measures, affecting countries

Ensuring a seamless communication of cross-business relevant people measuring to line managers and employees, especially with a focus on local specifics, fiduciary and country task in case of country specific subject matters (e.g. jubilee events), which are not allocated to one of the functions, ensuring efficient execution and / or supports integration into GBS.

Implementing HR priorities in the organization in line with group/ global division / global BU / global function and people strategy, covering culture, people and organization utilizing the existing HR solution portfolio or ensuring to provide new solutions where appropriate. Orchestrate the HR organization to support and deliver on the defined priorities.

Being partner with managers and employees in the relevant location to understand current issues that can be supported or resolved through HR practices, processes, or policies. Counsel Managers and employees on the most effective solutions to resolve issues, acting as consultant, sparring partner, coach, and facilitator to business leaders.

Overseeing implementation of HR processes at the location, ensuring compliance with Group policy and guidelines. Provides feedback and inputs on relevant local statutory or regulatory requirements into the development and implementation of new or improved processes/products/services.

Supporting manager and HRBP to implement and follow up performance management activities on the site, including poor performance improvement, PDA discussion, training need identification, termination, etc. supporting the implementation of group and global recognition program.

Integrate Talent Works closely with Talent Partners to ensure a healthy and sustainable talent pipeline in the organization considering internal Talent pool and external market, driving and executing all talent processes with Business Leaders e.g. identification and succession planning on business-critical positions, diversity and inclusion and owns the talent outcomes. Where appropriate is directly involved in the recruitment of peer level positions. Assess risks and coordinate actions to mitigate risks.

Job Specification

Your background

Bachelor of Human Resources or equivalent.

Around 10 years extensive HR Generalist experience working as part of a leadership team.

Competence in conducting workplace investigations and good working knowledge of legislation required.

Good work ethics and integrity.

Good communications and people skills
