As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for maximizing the value of the product by defining the epics and stories needed to deliver value. The Product Owner prioritizes the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of product program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the Development Team.
You don’t need to be an expert or know everything about our industry (even we don’t!). But the work is challenging, fast paced, and always on the bleeding edge. So, we’re looking for someone with a curious mind, a strong drive to make things happen, and a passion to keep improving yourself.
Requirements
What you will do:
- Comfortably work in an Agile development environment, which will involve continuous evaluation of priorities and backlog.
- Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
- Conveys the Vision and Goals at the beginning of every Release and Sprint.
- Attends scrum meetings including standups, review, retrospectives, and demos
- Inspects the product progress at the end of every Sprint and has complete authority to accept or reject work done.
- Solve product related problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments
- Ensure that quality is built-in at all stages of the value stream from design, through development, to testing and delivery.
- Works closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in information technology/Computer Science/Computer Studies or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a product owner
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles and process
- Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
- Strong ability to use/manage project management tracking/reporting tools JIRA.
- Skilled at understanding complex problems and distilling them into simpler, straightforward descriptions
