About the Role
Your role as a Solution Engineers to provide implementation, deployment, configuration and support services for solutions based on the Odin Automation (OA) platform to clients globally as well as to take part in Architecture and Design (AnD) of solutions. To keep current with the release of new services and provide recommendations for improving existing services. Your responsibilities will include working on system integration projects (both design and implementation) for Odin and Odin Automation customers. The work scope also requires you to be able troubleshoot and maintain systems running on Linux and Windows platforms and provide support for 3rd party services and their components.What you’ll do
· Architect, design, and deploy end-to-end solutions based on Odin Automation platform
· Design and implement customized solutions for Odin Automation platform to accommodate requirements for functionality that is not available or not supported in standard configuration
· Architect, design, and deploy end-to-end solutions based on cloud technologies in-line with Datacom’s strategic direction and in-line with the best outcome for the customer
· Analyze and troubleshoot issues at all levels of complexity and provide comprehensive feedback and resolution plan
· Provide project documentation including estimates, quotes, and project plans, with the assistance and approval of Solution Architects in the team
· Provide technical design documentation including network diagram, IP addressing, hardware requirements and specifications, etc. and to present this information in comprehensive and easy to understand format
· Communicate effectively with Datacom and Odin customers worldwide and provide technical guidance in real time
· Be prepared to travel on short notice and obtain visas to countries worldwide
What you’ll bring
Cloud Service and Service Automation Platforms
· Working experience with Odin Automation platform
· Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends
· Understanding of technologies and solutions provided by major public IaaS and PaaS providers such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365
· Advantage: working experience with Parallell’s Virtuozzo, IBM SoftLayer, Google Compute, vCloud Air cloud services
System Administration
· Virtualization platforms: Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare, Virtuozzo
· Operating Systems: Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Cloud Linux), Windows Server 2008/2012
· Network: OSI model, DHCP, IP addressing, subnets, routing, firewall, NAT, VLANs, routers, switches
· Storage: iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SAN, NAS, NFS
· Familiarity with Microsoft’s messaging and collaboration stack: Active Directory, Exchange, Skype for Business, SharePoint
· Strong understanding of protocols and technologies used in web hosting: web, email, DNS, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, POP3/IMAP, SSL
· Web Servers: IIS, Apache, Nginx
· Database Servers: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL
· Email servers: sendmail, postfix, qmail
· Experience with one of the following monitoring tools: Zabbix, Nagios, SNMP, PRTG
Development
· Hands on experience with few of the following languages: Python, PowerShell, Bash, PHP, ASP.NET, C#, Perl
· Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
· Working experience with writing and analyzing SQL queries
· Familiarity with API technologies: REST, JSON, SOAP, XML-RPC, etc.
· Ability to perform high level code debug to identify source of problem
· Ability to use browser debugger to debug web applications
· Advantage: Extensive experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python
Solution Architecture and Design
· Ability to perform requirements gathering and analysis
· Ability to translate high level business requirements to technical solution
· Ability to plan for scale-up, scale-out, high availability and redundancy of provided solution
