We are OSOME, the app that saves business owners their precious time and spares them all the tedious paperwork in accounting, company incorporation, and secretary services.
Your task will be to help our clients achieve that goal. And for you there is a huge difference compared to standard accounting firms: Our software does routine work, so you don’t have to do the boring tasks. Requests, questions and documents come to you through a chat, making it so much more fun to get things done.
Our system is already set up to achieve high efficiency working remotely, but we believe we can add to that by centralizing a big part of our accounting function in one location in Malaysia. To achieve that we need a Managing Director for Malaysia who knows accounting, leadership, and how to collaborate across different countries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the focal point of us building the Bookkeeping Factory, a way of transforming a manual process into an industrialized one using technology, people, and organizational acumen
- Scale our Malaysia organization that consists of dozens of people
- Optimize processes locally with close collaboration with our counterparties in Singapore, Hong Kong, the UK and other markets
- Build, manage, and grow your team to achieve the ambitious goals we as a company have
- Empower your team to be learn from every experience, improve through every challenge, and grow them to be their best self
- Help us to advance our technical lead by providing input into our software development process
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years of leadership experience
- Self-motivated and proactive; able to work meticulously under tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player
- A neck for operations ability to see processes as they can be, where fault lines might appear, and the creativity to solve before they do
- Love for data and an ability to talk data
- Experience with standard accounting software such as Xero a plus
- Recognized Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA etc.) a plus
