Responsibilities
- Assisting Team Leads in preparation of reports, audit schedules and reconciliations for closing cycles
- Working with bookkeeping software for month-end closing
- Supporting the Finance Team in collaborating with other functional teams within the organization
- Liaising closely with auditors and tax consultants to complete statutory reportings
- Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity
- Taking on ad hoc tasks or projects to enhance knowledge on accounting, tax compliances and operations in different countries
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, MICPA, CPA Australia) or Degree in Accounting
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and proactive with eagerness to learn
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Required language: English and Bahasa Malaysia
Candidates who meet at least one of the criteria below are strongly encouraged to apply:
- Ex-auditors from large/mid-tier audit firm
- Familiar with local and cross-border tax compliances (eg. SST, corporate tax, withholding tax, transfer pricing regulations)
- Able to prepare group accounts for statutory reporting under minimal supervision
