Chemical Engineering Consultant - (Bangkok, Malaysia or Shanghai)

Are you a chemical engineer with 3-10 years' experience in the chemical/petrochemical industry or a top industry consultancy or engineering firm, looking for an opportunity to join a consulting team based in Asia? We currently have opportunities in our offices based in Malaysia, Bangkok or Shanghai.

We are looking an Consultant to work across NexantECA, the Nexant Energy and Chemicals Advisory company, including single client projects and the subscription and report programs. Technology, economics and market analysis covers a broad range of energy and chemical-related industries, from hydrocarbon fuels and feedstocks, petrochemicals and polymers, C1 chemicals, to bio-renewables and special topics.

As a Consultant you will;

• Participate in the execution, delivery and management of subscription reports and consultancy engagements.
• Conduct research on process technology trends, develop comparative economic models of capital and operating costs of industrial plants, and prepare detailed technoeconomic studies and written reports.
• Conduct primary research to understand key industry issues and develop market balances and projections.
• Work closely with clients, prepare and deliver presentations, and assist in building strong client relationships
• Work across a broad range of chemicals and energy sectors.
• Develop and broaden personal knowledge and capabilities.
• Meet internal quality, time and budget constraints.
• Provide supervision and support to other team members as appropriate and assist in training and development activities.

Requirements

Education amp; Qulifications;

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant discipline
• Excellent standard of academic qualifications
• Good first degree in a subject relevant to the chemicals and energy industry (for example chemical engineering, chemistry)
• Higher degree in relevant subject (PHD)

Skills amp; Experience;

• 3-10 years' experience with the chemical/petrochemical industry or a top industry consultancy or engineering firm
• Excellent presentation and confident report writing skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solvent skills
• Demonstrable leadership and management skills

• Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with clients
• Has experience working on business development
• Positive and flexible attitude to work particularly new initiatives
• Diplomatic in meeting and working with people, good cultural awareness
