A Manager/Project Manager is responsible for managing the design, development, implementation and support of technologies to meet business specifications. Managers/Program Managers have solid technical, project planning and management skills. A Manager/Program Manager identifies and analyzes potential design and implementation risks and pro actively responds to mitigate any circumstance that may jeopardize the project. A Manager/Program Manager has a responsibility to develop a high-performing, motivated staff by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Key responsibilities may include:

1. Providing project management support for Oil & Gas industry. This would include managing the planning, analysis and definition of high-level software strategies and solutions through functional and technical expertise and an understanding of the enterprise, business system, and industry.
2. Acting as a technical project manager on behalf of the client for a multi work stream implementation of a new system for up to 8 countries. Provide Sales support to Client Teams across ASEAN.
3. Have technology experience in Architectural skills, Primavera, SAP Project Systems, Document Management System, and Intergraph/Team Center.
4. Overseeing the effort to identify vendors of software applications that meet specified requirements; leading the effort to arrange favourable terms for procurement of selected software applications. This would involve liaising directly with project managers from each client countries, application vendors and business users.
5. Managing the process of identifying, analyzing, mitigating and responding to project, financial, operational, security, and legal threats, both real and anticipated
6. Managing to clearly defined business goals and expectations; leading utilization of efficient and effective processes and standards in order to continuously improve the quality of processes, products and services
7. Accountability for daily and monthly reports to management regarding programs and goals.
8. Managing the process of determining resource status and needs, deploying resources to point of need, and coordinating sourcing and outplacement to ensure organizational goals are met
9. Leading the design and implementation of a metrics program to track and report on key performance indicators for a project, workgroup, or organization
10. Facilitate project execution between many parties in multiple locations. *Require flexible work hours and occasional site visit

Job Specification


1.Degree in Geophysics or Petroleum Engineering
2.8 - 10 years relevant working experience in related industry
3.Project management expertise (work planning, issue resolution) and experience in working remotely
4.Good understanding of the Oil and Gas Upstream, Petrochemicals, Mining industry and business operations
5.Good verbal and written communication skills
