Job Description
StashAway is currently looking for a Part-Time Content Writer and Editor to join our team on a temporary basis. This role will require you to work with us for 20 hours per week on average. As a result of this, we are also open to working with freelancers.
Our clients look to us for guidance on personal finance and investing, and trust us to give them the right financial advice. They need us to deliver this information at the right place and at the right time. And that’s exactly what our content team is here to do.
We’re looking for someone who not only can simplify technical financial topics, but who can also make finance interesting even to the people who think that watching paint dry is more exciting than finance. As a writer, you’ll deliver impactful content that navigates novices through the big scary world of investing while breaking down even the most complex financial topics to seasoned investors. As an editor, you’ll help the rest of the organization speak to our customers in a unified and consistent way, by helping them structure their narratives and polishing copy to a tee.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Brand and Senior Financial Content Writer to develop engaging and educational content about personal finance and investing that will be localized and distributed across our 5 markets.
- Brief, write, and edit all forms of multimedia content, from short form to long form content. This may include video scripts, social media ads, articles, press releases, and more.
- Concept and write topical/trending articles, based on what’s in the media. May also include short-form content.
- Work with the design team, senior financial content writer, and any project stakeholders to directly feedback and revise content.
- Uphold StashAway’s Tone of Voice by following the Content Style Guide.
- Uphold and optimise for SEO integrity by following the in-house SEO Guide.
Requirements
- Demonstrated financial acumen and strong writing abilities
- 3-5 years of experience in content and/or communications in financial services.
- An ability to crunch complex personal finance and investment topics into clear, succinct, and simple prose
- Immaculate attention to detail and strong copy and grammar skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Curiosity and proactiveness to try and learn new things
- A keen eye for the right content that best serves our clients
